Keith Reade of Trooper Bones Militaria has very kindly supplied a copy of Rushen Castle's badge for inclusion on this website.

The above pattern was sealed on 3 April 1954.

Subsequently Mik Cass has written to me as follows:

"Here is some info that you may or may not have, gleaned from Admiralty Ships Badges by TP Stopford.

"Rushen Castle - The old capital of the Isle of Man.  The Lord of Man was the Earl of Derby between 1404 and 1736.  The lozenge is from the Montague family who restored the Castle in 1345.
 
"The heraldry bit - Green: a bend barry wavy of four white and blue over all an eagle's claw erased gold feathered white grasping a plate charged with a lozenge red."
