This photograph has been kindly supplied by (former Leading Seaman) John Edmund Turner who is standing on the extreme right - see 10 below. My thanks to John and his son, Andy, for contacting me through the website.
The photograph was taken on 19 May 1945 * at Crosby, just north of Liverpool, following the marriage of Petty Officer Tom Palferman 5 ("The Buffer" on Rushen Castle) and Constance Lee 6.
There are a number of other member's of Rushen Castle's crew present. Third from the left, smiling broadly, is the Coxswain 11 (see "What do we know about HMS Rushen Castle's first crew?") - sadly John Turner cannot, as yet, recall his name ... sixty years is a long time ago!
On Tom Palferman's right is Eric Brown 13 and George Lee 4. I believe that J. Nattress, the Canteen Manager, is fifth from the right - see 15.
If you recognise any other faces please let us know with reference to the numbers on the silhouette below.

Amended: 12 January 2007.
* The exact date has been kindly provided by Sarah Palferman, Tom Palferman's grand-daughter.
