This photograph has been kindly supplied by (former Leading Seaman) John Edmund Turner.  My thanks to John and his son, Andy, for contacting me through the website.

The photograph was taken on 19 May 1945 * at Crosby, just north of Liverpool, following the marriage of Petty Officer Tom Palferman 5 ("The Buffer" on Rushen Castle) and Constance Lee 6.

On Tom Palferman's right is George Lee 4, presumably his Best Man, as well as brother of the Bride?  John Turner describes George as a torpedo man, but with no torpedoes on Rushen Castle he was the Electrician.

If you recognise any other faces please let us know with reference to the numbers on the silhouette below.

Amended: 12 January 2007.

* The exact date has been kindly provided by Sarah Palferman, Tom Palferman's grand-daughter.
