"This is to Certify that Lt Eric Wentworth Clubb RNR. has served as 1st Lieutenant in HMS Rushen Castle under my command, from the 14th day of February 1944, to the 25th day of June 1945, during which period he has conducted himself To my entire satisfaction.  A most capable and efficient 1st Lieutenant.  He has maintained a high standard of efficiency, morale and discipline, and has been almost entirely responsible for a 'happy ship'. He is efficient without being officious."
