I read somewhere that 'an A.F.O. issued during 1940 stated that, "Badges are not authorised for Corvettes or the majority of smaller vessels, nor for numbered submarines or merchant ships converted to auxiliary warships."'  Did this, I wonder extend to Castle class corvettes?  Apparently many of these smaller ships nevertheless designed and wore with pride, their own "unofficial" badge - did Rushen Castle have an "unofficial" badge?

Rushen Castle would most certainly have had a bell.  Does anyone know where this is now?
