Mik Cass writes, "Probably taken in June/July 1967 on Ocean Station Alpha. At the time I was on the Weather Reporter and the Surveyor was obviously relieving us after our stint on Alpha. She has her lifeboat swung out ready to bring across mail/papers (2 to 3 days old - but still welcome)."
If you want to know what Mik Cass means by "Ocean Station Alpha" see his excellent article, "Life on Ocean Weather Ships 1966-1969".
